another chapter of my life.
so yesterday marked the end of NTU IAC 2010. we were the champions! ((:
the challenge trophy belongs to us for now.
as for me, i got myself a bronze trophy for individual ranking and bronze medal for TKO (team knock-out) :D
the most memorable event to me was IKO.
it was really physically, mentally and emotionally demanding.
that was a bronze medal match.
my score was the same as the other girl.
it was a tie.
so we were doing the tie-breaker by shooting one arrow each.
BAM. BAM.
we walked over to the boards.
i got a 10 she got an X.
so she won.
we hugged as we thought it was the end of the match already.
and guess what.
there is no such thing as X and 10 for IKO.
so we were still tied.
i was prepared to bring back my bow to the tent already and suddenly archers around told me that i still need to shoot one more arrow.
WOAHHHHHH!!!!
do you know how stress that is?
the whole range was looking at only both of you :///
so we picked up our bows and arrows and prepared to shoot again.
BAM. BAM.
both arrows looked like they fell on the same spot of the yellow region.

WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
i was already feeling so so shagged and i really don't feel like continuing at all.
but looking at all the archers around me who gave me so much support and cheering me on, i couldn't let them down so easily.
that was my last arrow.
it was the arrow which would determine whether i earned myself a medal or not.
it was that crucial arrow.
focus.
and then.
BAM.
i saw that it hit the red region.
oh no i failed my supporters.
so the other girl won.
i didn't know whether to cry or to laugh.
but everyone around me was being so supportive and telling me that "you've did a great job", "well done", etc.
thank you all.
all that means really a lot to me.
really really a lot.

well, even though i didn't win that match, i was actually pretty satisfied with myself.
i knew i had tried my best.
i really did.
i had never shot with that feeling ever before.
the feeling that i should do it not only for myself, but for the people around me, for those who keep standing behind my back.
if, let's just say if, i actually quit, this would be the one of the most memorable memories that i don't think i can forget.
(another memorable one was when i hit my head and got myself 4 stitches haha)
the massage, the pat, the encouragement, the cheering, the assurance - they are imprinted in my mind (:
i would very much thank everyone individually, but being such a forgetful person, i would surely miss out one here or there.
so, i just hope that they all know that i am really thankful for them ((:
