Philippines trip!

I just came back from the Philppines! :D

I want to tell you guys stories, but I am really lazy. Let's see how much I could tell before my laziness crept in :P

First of all, this trip took me 8 flights here and there. First three flights are from Penang to KL, KL to Singapore and Singapore to Manila, all in a day. Reached KL, stayed there for 3 hours plus plus waiting for the 20 minutes delayed plane to Singapore and when I reached Singapore, I saw Bosith waiting there already. Went to have my lunch then met Lam. Three of us then went to Budget Terminal by shuttle bus. The queue was long. The flight was even longer, three hours plus plus. We spent our time playing tai ti and 21. Then we even used peso as bets -.-"

Finally we arrived at Clark Airport, waiting for the rest to pick us up and we thought they were already there but haha not yet. So we tried to use the public phone to make calls, which failed badly. And out of nowhere, we saw them!! :D Hugs and kisses(there were no kisses by the way) and screams and welcomes followed after. First meal in Philippines for me was Chicken Joy from Jollibee.

Then, it was the ride back to Chaya's house.

Next day, we went to visit historical places in the Philippines. Before that, we went to 168 Mall and my lunch was Sisig (a pork dish). Go to my facebook for photos. There are (or rather, will be, since I haven't upload yet hahaha) two albums on this visit. Went to the Tsinoy Museum, saw Chaya, Alex and Jerwin's faces (hahaha!) and got to know a lot about the Philippines Chinese. Went to many churches, saw many buildings, had a Dodong ride (Dodong is the horse), ate balut (Sorry Jo, but I don't think I will ever eat it again) and of course, took a lot a lot of photos (: (:

Dinner at Max, Alex's treat (: Learnt about "tsup tsup" HAHAHA. Since we felt that the night was still young, after going back to Chaya's house, we went out again to Green Hills with her dad and yougest sister and had some supper and on the way I saw Penang Hill HAHAHAHAHAHA (:

Third day in Philippines, we went to Tagaytay. Had Buko Pie, which was really nice when eaten hot. Had lunch at Josephine's. Went to People's Park in the Sky and tried cheese ice-cream! The place was cold and so windy!! I could feel that we were like flying! HAHAHAHA. Next, we went for my first ever horse-riding. My horse was so slow, initially HAHAHA. Well, horse-riding wasn't that difficult after all. We could ask the guy to ride with us and he could make the horse go faster (: Dinner was with Chaya's family at a Chinese restaurant.

Next day, we were on our way to Gensan! We flew to Davao first and that was the first time I knew that we need to take off our shoes in Philippines airport. WOW. The flight was about two hours minus minus. It was raining in Davao when we reached there. Went to a mall first before proceed for our lunch. Lunch was long since the rain was long and we weren't able to go for our Flying Fox, we stayed at the restaurant, enjoying our bottomless iced tea and played cards. The ride to Gensan was long due to the rain and yea, long. HAHAHA. First thing we did when we reached Gensan (by the way, Gensan is General Santos City) was to shake Manny Pacquiao's hand and a group photo. He is a famous boxer, born in Gensan, who won a lot of matches (: Went to Jo's house and no more outdoor night activity, but we had great indoor night activity! Jo's friends joined us in her house for a karaoke session and we sang and laughed and did many silly stuff.

Following morning, we went to Sarangani Highlands for breakfast. The scenery there was beautiful. Took lots of photos as usual. Then we went to the fish port where we saw many many huge gigiantic tunas and tunas and tunas. HAHAHA. We were all wearing boots too!

After fish port, we went to South Point to dive! That was my first scuba-diving experience! (I told jo I had a lot of first in Philippines HAHAHA) I admit that I was quite afraid initially as I just couldn't equalize but after a while WOW the experience was great! (: Had really a good time down in the water HAHAHA. The day ended with shooting in a range near Jo's house and that was my first (again!) time holding a real .9mm and .40mm firing real bullets! Don't catch me, I didn't kill anyone. HAHAHA. And oh yea, Quynh, if you are reading this, this night was the night we talked to you using the video call! (: (:

Next morning, we left the house very early to go to Lake Cebu for sightseeing and boat ride and hiking at the waterfalls. The waterfalls were beautiful. We went to as near as possible to the waterfall and took lots of photos (: Nice photos HEH HEH (: We were wet. LOL.

After that, we proceed back to Gensan again for some cultural performance whereby Jo was one of the many judges (: We watched many tribal dances HAHA (: Met three new friends. Carra, Timo and Claud. Carra is the daughter of one of our tour guides, she is from the Philippines. Timo is from Switzerland while Claud is from Germany and both of them are foreign exchange students and they are here in Gensan for a year. After dinner at Jo's house, we went to BigShot for some drink and ostrict burger and Dilli ka Guapo (OMG I remembered! It means "You are not handsome" and it is actually a dish with Guava and Pomelo).

Then, it's time for us to say goodbye to Gensan. We had the two hours plus plus drive to Davao again and this time round we went to Jasmine's place for breakfast! (: (:

After we reached Manila, we wanted to go to Enchanted Kingdom (EK), but we had not enough time so we just spent our afternoon in SM Mall of Asia, which is a very huge shopping mall. Redgie joined us after that. We went ice-skating too. And it was my first again. HAHA. I hurt my ankle while skating :/ But lucikly it wasn't that bad after I took of the shoes. Dinner was with Alex's brothers. Then, we had beer at a German restaurant with Chaya's family and Alex's brothers. I drank two glasses I think HAHAHA. My face was so red it looked like I was drunk. I wasn't. HAHA.

Now we come to the last day of my trip. Nat was sent off earlier as his flight was way earlier than ours and since the van was not available we couldn't join him at the airport. So, bye nat. There were only five of us left. We went to Green Hills to shop. I bought two shirts, a small bag/purseand a coin purse for my mum (: Lunch was Jollibee! (: Then, we walked around again before going back to Chaya's house to take our luggages and prepared to fly back to Singapore. Chaya's dad drove us to Clark and we had Chinese food for dinner.

I slept almost all the way for the flight back to Singapore and after we reached Changi, we went to Macs for some food and at 3am, Bosith and Lam went back, so there was only me in the empty airport. And it was really empty. HAHA. Went to budget terminal again for my 6am flight to KL and I bought a book!! It's called Escape by David McMillan (: (: Didn't manage to read finish as I slept for about half an hour while waiting for my plane and lucikly I didn't miss it. Whew.

So, after reaching KL, I went to Coffee Bean, then waited and waited and waited till my next flight back to Penang. Home sweet home. My brother was my driver of the day. Wahahahahaha (:
