burst with opinions haha :D
wanted to study, but there's just so much stuff i need to express, so i came here :D
okay, firstly, my professors. one is so nice, one is so evil hahaha. well, my reason was that 6 and 9 are inverted, maybe that's why they are at the extreme of the scale of kindness hahaha okay lame.
one prof sent us an email titled "final words for bsXX9" and in the email, he wrote on how he had enjoyed teaching us (well, i doubt whether he really enjoyed it, but can see all his effort while lecturing us, so dedicated) and what to expect for exams. only one choice for MCQ questions and there is a total of 50 MCQ questions! that's all! how nice! i know you must be thinking, one choice for MCQ question - that's like how normal, but if you have been studying in my course, you will know that most papers with MCQ questions are not so simple. usually MCQ questions for us have multiple answers. that's the norm. hahaha.
another prof, i wouldn't say he is bad, but maybe really likes to make our life more difficult. 2 online quizzes at night, one practical quiz (with 70 levels to complete), one optional quiz (80 levels) to do to gain more points (but after weighing the pros and cons, the reward is not so tempting anymore) and a video to explain how many N atoms are there in our body. all these are done for 30% of the module. the previous prof just requires us to submit a group lab report for 30%.

next up, i shall talk about politics! hohoho! what a sensitive issue but oh well i still have some opinions on it. a video on how a particular young candidate has mentioned that the education cost is low in singapore has been circulating around. i am not being biased here since i don't really favor any party (maybe deep down i do and i am easily influenced by comments around me so these comments could have formed my own perspectives but whatever it is, we are not on this topic). i have to agree with what the candidate actually said.
singapore education cost is really low ah. just compare with other countries. you want to go for exchange (let's say US) for one semester, you need to spend the amount of money that could cover for your one year tuition fee in singapore and these are just expenses, not counting in the tuition fee. so basically, one exchange experience, you have to spend 3 semester tuition fee. and imagine you study overseas for your whole uni. so, who says singapore education fee is expensive.
yes, you can argue that the locals overseas have lower tuition fees compared to the locals in singapore. i mean i am not sure what are their tuition fees like, but just compare based on the choices you have now: 1) study in singapore 2) study overseas 3) don't study. so if you choose 3), it's your choice. but if you compare 1) and 2), to obtain the similar level of education, you can't deny that choice 1 is really cheaper. if you choose choice 2, you will be regarded as foreigners and your tuition fees could not be that cheap. if you could get financial aid and scholarships, this is another matter.
so, my point is, singapore education cost is really not that high. just sit down and think about it, and perhaps do some research before you actually make any conclusion.
